Textile is one of the most important parts of this world as it develops one of the most common and major necessities of our lives, “clothing”. As per the saying of Bauhaus artist Anni Albers in 1965 “the event of a thread”, which means the constant possibility of reconstructing, reassessing and reconnecting relations and different connections. It is something that does not have a beginning or an end.

Background In Israel, this international event is being celebrated for about 100 years to learn about the importance of textiles and its materials around the world. This exhibition tells us a lot about fabrics including the messages to be found among fabrics of various kinds, their cultural significance, their origins, their history, their meanings, and social roles and much more. This exhibition tells the story of an HBD fabric, as an important part of the fabric culture. This event also focuses on displaying the different techniques of developing fabric from hands and as an art.

The exhibition will include; • Carpets • Threads • Fabrics • Sewing • Weaving • Knitting • Embroidery • Designs of Art

Event Date and Timings: This event occurs once a year and this year, it began from September 12, 2019, and will end up on the 7th of December, 2019. The event occurs in Beer Sheva’s Negev Art Museum, and the Trumpledor Gallery. Both of these are located in the old city of Beer Sheva.
