This festival is a twice in a year folk music festival in Israel and it is held in NofGinosar on the Sea of Galilee’s shores in the northern part of Israel. The festival usually takes place in May and December and it is a unique musical and social event for music lovers of all kinds to experience. The festival that is held in May is the larger of the two events and the event usually takes place in the outdoor areas while the December festival is much more intimate with its indoor series of events.

Event This festival attracts thousands of music lovers that are mostly Anglo immigrants and also Israelis. It is held twice a year and both events are usually held at the NofGinnosar Hotel located on the enchanting shores of the Sea of Galilee. The spring festival usually occurs in May and it is held outdoors with thousands of attendees. The winter festival occurs in December and it is held indoors which gives it a cozy and intimate affair and it is attended by about 500 music lovers.

The Jacob’s Ladder Spring Festival dates back to 1976 and it features a wide range of live acts on stage with folks from the USA, Ireland, and Israel. It also features a dance and song workshops with lots of children’s activities like juggling, tap dancing workshops, and puppet. It also offers a guided birdwatching tour on the shores of the Sea of Galilee where you will spot different birds on Saturday morning. The festival is laid-back and family-friendly with lots of great tunes and fun activities to enjoy.

The Winter Festival offers a more intimate experience and it is held at NofGinosar Hotel and grounds. This year events will be hosting exciting programs like Dixieland Jazz and Klezmer, American Folk music, Blues and Rock, Country, Greek tavern music, Irish traditional music, original music that was inspired by the scenery and flavors of Israel, and lots more. There is a wide range of programs listed for the winter festival which ranges from live band show to guided walk and fun activities for the kids. The indoor Winter festival is suitable for couples, singles, seniors, and families with kids.
